An almost wordless fairytale
The core of my interpretation of the Grimm Brother’s fairy tale is change of perspective.
The originally anynomous people who take the last goods and chattels from the poor ol’ girl are set into spotlight. They abuse her belongings and good will in ridiculous ways. Thus the girl’s altruism is driven to absurdity. All characters are quotes from famous occident narrative classics. We meet the Baron Münchhausen, Max & Moritz as well as Till Eulenspiegel. The whole novel plays with symbols and hidden trivia.
This book arouse in my 6th semester illustration class and was accompanied by Franz Zauleck.
